Our music is already scored and set up on synthesizer and keyboards. There will not be an actual Pit Orchestra for this show.

Thanks for your inquiry.

Ron Willfong,

Theatre Manager

Well, that's totally lame.

That takes the cake for the most ridiculous pit orchestra (or lack thereof) news this week.... and I thought I had a good ridiculous piece of news!

XD I'm sorry! But you have to admit that playing the trombone part on an alto clarinet is pretty ridiculous... right?

Nope, not all. The very you use is still 'play'!

Eh, It makes a terrible difference using varied woodwinds instead of strings, but the variation in sound shouldn't be a large issue for the trombone parts in HMS Pinafore. Not too ridiculous, I'd still do it. I've been replaced by science. Science & energy!

Cue pictures of Chief Wiggum at the Springfield yardsale working his over-the-shoulder keyboard and Disco Stu rocking out. In other words, their loss.

South Pacific is a pretty bizarre musical, but doing it all on synth and keyboards? Sounds like something that would be sampled for the purposes of irony or oddity.
